What’s up with the sponsors of your podcast? Do they really pay to be sponsors?

No, in the first few episodes the “sponsors” are clubs or causes I want to highlight. I only use clubs or causes that I think my listeners can benefit from or help with. If I ever do get a paid sponsor, they will go into the sponsor section of the podcast and the clubs or causes will become a new section of the podcast.

Do you use the Free Resourses links that are posted on your site?

Absolutly! I listen to both the Grammar Girl and The Public Speaker podcasts whenever they are updated.

I have been using Open Office to write scripts for podcasts and papers for school. I tend to go to Microsoft Office 2007 for work-related documents but that’s because it’s what’s required by my employer. I also use Google Documents to write papers, do collaborative projects, and store documents.

ShareTabs is free service that I use to display the links from each episode in one place. This enables my listeners to easily bookmark all of the resources from each episode in one place. As more episodes are added, the older ones will be archived on a separate page.

WikiSpaces is a free service that I use to record and store my reading, lecture and resource notes for my school assignments and dissertation project. Building and ammending my wiki has created a great resource for me that has cut the time I spend writing a paper in half! I really recommend WikiSpaces!

How do I go about setting up a Wiki?

Because personal wikis are a fairly new concept, many of the wiki providers have created video tutorials to help new users understand their products. Below I’ve listed links to the video tutorials that I’ve found. I’ve also included a link to my own personal wiki so you can see one in action.
